Lingual Braces

Lingual braces allow patients to smile with confidence throughout their entire orthodontic treatment. Lingual braces are completely hidden from view because they are placed on the back of the teeth. They are also referred to as Hidden Braces, Concealed Braces, Inside Braces and Invisible Braces.

Recent advancements in technology have allowed lingual braces to be intimately contoured to the inner shape of the upper and lower teeth increasing their comfort and minimizing their impact on speech. Developed in the 1980’s, lingual braces were previously worn almost exclusively by celebrities and the ‘rich and famous’.

Today, lingual braces have become a practical and viable treatment option for teenagers and adults who have a desire to have comprehensive orthodontic treatment without others seeing anything on their teeth.

Because the brackets are glued to the back of the tooth they are invisible (no one knows you have braces), they reduce the need for patient compliance (no aligners to wear 24/7), they can be used with virtually any bite issue (unlike Invisalign) and have three dimensional control.
